FASTING TO WORSHIP minimize the possibility RISK OF DEATH DRIVER ON CAR ACCIDENT

FASTING TO WORSHIP minimize the possibility RISK OF DEATH DRIVER ON CAR ACCIDENT

The development technology is very influential on the human lifestyle. Human behavior is especially striking affected by these developments one of which is human eating behavior. Due to the demands of the times and technological advances that require us to always hunt with the time at work. Busyness is not directly change our eating habits become irregular and less attention to the composition of our diet.

Changes in eating behavior is causing our health impaired. Many medical problems that we suffer because of poor diet this. Starting from ulcer disease until one disease is a scourge for everyone that is Obesity.

WHO Obesity is defined as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that pose health risks to the human body. Obesity or overweight is a precursor to the development of various diseases in the human body such as coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer, hypertension, high cholesterol, liver, asthma, and gynecological problems.

How to solve this obesity problem? In the religion of Islam these problems have been anticipated since the 15th century. Namely through FASTING. Fasting is an act that deliberately not eating and drinking from dawn until sunset. How is the relationship between fasting and obesity? Our bodies need energy to do activities. In the non-fasting conditions, energy intake derived from our process of body metabolism to nutritional foods we eat. Meanwhile, when we fast we do not derive energy from food intake, but energy is obtained from a chemical reaction process by outlining the pile up of sugar and fat is converted into energy. Therefore, fasting can reduce fatty deposits in the body. Then the conclusion of fasting, the risk of obesity can be prevented.

How does the discussion of the correlation of fasting and obesity on the risk of death in a car accident?

Recent studies revealed that obesity can increase the risk of dying in a car accident.
In these studies the value drivers of obesity body mass index (BMI) between 30 and 35 then have a risk of death during a car accident by 20% higher than a person of normal weight. As for the driver with a BMI of 40 and above the value at risk of death during a car accident by 80%.

The research was based on data from a car accident during the period from 1996 to 2008. The main reason why obesity is more dangerous for car accidents because obese people tend to have health problems such as cardiovascular disease can increase the risk of driver death during a car accident.

In addition, changes in car design may be necessarily to better protect obese drivers in car crashes, the researchers said. One study found obese drivers traveled farther in their seats before their seat belts engaged in the pelvis area during a crash compared to normal-weight drivers. The delay in seat-belt activation was due to more soft tissue in the abdomen that prevents the belt from fitting close to the pelvis, the researchers said. While the legs and abdomen traveled father from the seat in obese people compared to normal- weight individuals, the upper body was held back, the researchers said. (source: www.livescience.com)

From the results of research on the effects of exposure to obesity to the driver fatality risk level in a car accident then we can draw a logical correlation "fasting able to reduce the possible risk of driver death in motor vehicle accidents."

Conclusions on the further strengthening of Islam as a religion that is always grounded in the fundamental truths conveyed by divine revelation by our master Prophet Muhammad.
